Abstract

Aim: This review aims to explore the multifaceted factors influencing human healthspecifically lifestyle decisions, environmental effects, and genetic predispositions and their implications for pharmaceutical education. Purpose: The purpose is to equip aspiring pharmacists with a comprehensive understanding of how these factors interact to effectively address health issues in diverse populations. Discussion: The discussion highlights the critical role of pharmacogenomics in tailoring medications to individual genetic profiles, thereby enhancing treatment efficacy and minimizing adverse reactions. It also emphasizes the significant impact of environmental factors, such as living conditions, healthcare access, and socioeconomic status, on health outcomes, advocating for a focus on systemic health inequities to promote equitable healthcare access. Additionally, lifestyle choices, including nutrition and exercise, are discussed as key components that can be influenced through education, fostering a proactive approach to patient care.
